Dall Ram w/ REPOST

A Dall sheep ram on a bright, sunny, late August morning in Denali. I did my best with the glare off of the white fur, but I'm on the fence about the output.

As always, comments & suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You made the most of the light, the eye seems well lit and the whites look alright. Nice set of horns as well. Perhaps a little more of a head turn either way, facing you or to the side would have been nice. As it is, the other eye is sort of half visible.

A nice portrait! The nose looks grey like you burned the highlights a bit too much though.

Thank you for your comments. I agree about the "burned" nose Paul, I've posted a reworked shot with the "burn" removed.

Hi Guy,

Tough light to work with, but I think you did a good job. I agree with Paul (and you) about the nose and I do prefer the re-post. Nie background - not only does it work well with the horns (colour-wise), but definitely makes that white ram pop!

Great image. I like the second image better. I would be very happy with this. When we were in Denali we were not able to get even remotely this close to Dall sheep.

Nice portrait you have here Guy. I am totally fine with the head angle and actually prefer something similar to this. I do see the burnt spot was already mentioned and the re-post looks much better! Just always wish for a large version to both be able and critique easier since my eyes seem to be worse than they used to be

and because it is more enjoyable to view a nice image like this larger!
