Power Of Light

I took this one last summer at a small lake near our home in Solothurn/Switzerland. It's been a rainy day and I sat at home in my office doing some work on the computer when I took a short break, stared out the window and noticed the sun broke through the clouds. So I grabbed my gear, got into my car and drove down to this small lake.
I took several exposures but I had a hard time to controll the area in the sky just over the distant hills, so in the end I double processed only one RAW file for maximum dynamic range instead of blending two or three exposures. The end result wouldn't be any different.
So I would like to know what you think about this one.

Techs:Nikon D700, 16-35mm Objektiv (@16mm), ISO 200, f 16, 1/25 Sekunde, ND Grad Filter 0.9

Bill, I really like the sky and what looks like lily pads on the left side of the lake. Since the subject appears to be the light and the skyline, I would suggest cropping just a bit of the dock (perhaps to the bottom of the lily pads). Since you are using a wide-angle lens, the askew dock appears to be fighting with the skyline and the light for attention. Possibly cropping the bottom by about 1/2" would eliminate that problem.

My 2-cents. but what do you think?

Regards,

Carol

I just wish I was sitting on that dock, Bill. This is a wonderful view. I like the light and colors very much. The blues and greens look great together, especially with a little yellow! That is a beautiful sky!
