I like the concept of the hovering, the image is fairly soft so I would try some heavier sharpening on it and if you have more room at the top I might give a little more space in the crop. Did you run any NR on this?

Another great image from your session with this wonderful raptor David.
Wonder what it would look like with its talons wrapped around my oriole
I like this one a lot too, but if forced to choose the prior post is clearly the best of the two..
Well done! :toast:

Love the pose here. Harriers have been a real challenge for me to capture. Congratulations, you've done a very nice job with this one too,

David: I like this pose a lot. Very unique capture. I like the inclusion of the grass at the bottom as it gives the image a base. Maybe a touch soft, but a fine image.

I think its a great image, but you could work with the sharpness and maybe contrast.

Another beauty, David. If you have it, I might add a bit to the top and take a bit off the right, but that's just my taste.

David, it does appear to be a bit soft in my eyes also, but love the pose! I think another round of selective sharpening might make it even better.

The position of the bird is great with it staring down, David. I like that you have left the vegetation at the bottom. I do wish for a bit more room on the top, but that is a small nit on a very nice image. Great job.

Beautiful ballerina pose, David. In agreement with others two nits: a bit tight on top and a bit soft. You might find that cropping some from the rhs will make the tightness less evident. Anyway, you can pretty easily add canvas to this one if you need to. You don't mention post processing. This is a case where a little more sharpening might help quite a bit. Quite a lovely series of shots you are posting here!

Great action shot, I really like the moment you have captured. A little bit more eye contact would have made it even better - but that said it's a great shot IMO ! Grtz, Hans

Very cool hover pose, a little soft as others have noted but a really interesting shot, nice job in getting this difficult image, way to go.
