Callanish Standing Stones taken in the Outer Hebrides on the Isle of Lewis last week on on a Transient Light workshop.

These stones were erected between 2900 and 2600 BC and are an eerie sight to behold especially at sunset.

Canon 5DM2
Canon EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM
ISO100 1/20sec f/8
B&W Conversion with Silver Efex Pro

Thanks for having a look. Your comments and critiques always welcome and appreciated.

Excellent! I like the composition with a view of the standing stones into the distance. I thought the stones were a bit dark until I looked at the larger version.

Excellent work, Eva. The larger version is even stronger.

Lovely Eva very moody and a real ring feeling created by the position of the stones. Black and white suits it very well.

Wow, this hits in the full version. The thumbnail does not work that well, but this one works great. I like the dark mood and the "ancient" feeling. The sky complements perfectly, the texture of the rock adds a lot, the wide angle lens is skillfully employed. Super strong work Eva!
