Watched the weather clearing from the mountains last Saturday morning in Summit County.
Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,
Morris

I like the almost monochromatic light Morris, the diagonals work too. Good detail in the mountain slope.

Hi Morris, IMO, the most striking aspect of this image is the curve of the mountain. Typical Summit county. Morris, I lived there for five years but I don't recognize this view. Where were you? What mountain am I looking at?
Great job.

Carol

The great diagonals here really make this shot--that and the weather of course!

A wonderful image of weather moving. The flow of mist leeward of that mountain is a mystical feel. Excellent presentation.

Wonderful use of diagonals Morris. I like the textures on the mountain and stormy sky as well.

The diagonals work pretty well here. Love the textures of the mountain and the "weather-movement"

Excellent title. This is a very geometric landscape and I really like the repeating triangles. The transition from dark to light and the wisp of clouds to soften the whole effect is terrific composition. I'm really enjoying this image. (wish you posted larger)

Thank you for your comments everyone!
Carol, I don't know what mountain it is for sure, but I was looking south from I-70 near Copper Mountains ski resort. They are in the Tenmile range.

Morris, your composition based on diverse triangles is very effective for me. The monochromatic area together with the subdued colors in the lower part help me to focus on that interesting shape of the ridge.

I am a real sucker for cloud swirled peaks as well as geometry. You had me at 'acutely'.

Yeah, the diagonals are nice, but what really grabs me is the motion I can feel here. I think that big curve accentuates that. Wonderful combination of element. Would not be nearly as nice in "bluebird" weather.

I saw this one over on the series you posted on RMNP and this is beautiful. This definitely looks cold. The veiled peak adds a lot to the image and the foreground trees hint at the scale of the peak. Beautiful work, Morris.

Great diagonals, and beautiful scene. I'd be tempted to convert this to B&W too for comparison.

The angles make a nice composition and the dusting of snow has a natural b&w look to it. I would also be curious to see this in b&w. Nicely done.
