I revisited the Maine Coast over the weekend and captured this image of what I believe might be two juveniles. Late afternoon sun burned thru the cloud cover and offered some decent light. I like the position of the bird in focus and the multiple reflections-curious what you think.

Thanks

I like the mutliple reflections also here Chuck, the light is pleasing as well. I think it would have been a stronger comp if the birds didn't overlap but it's a cool shot as posted. :toast:

Beautiful detail in the foreground bird, Charles. The oof bird in the bg works in this image, but to my eye, the reflection of the subject adds just a bit too much. If it were mine, I think I'd crop up from the bottom a fair amount.

Nice enough, but I'd prefer it if the OOF bird was out of the picture.

This image works for me Chuck. I like the sharp front bird and the fact that the back bird is sharp enough to ID it. The reflections work and the overlap of the two birds, while not optimal to me, still works.

It works for me, especially because of their positions, facing in opposite directions.

Very nice Charles. I like the reflections and the inclusion of the second bird. Generally I like a lower perspective but in this case the other bird would have been behind the main subject so the way it was taken works very well.

This is very good, Chuck. But I find myself wishing you were a bit lower and a couple of feet to the right...

Interesting image Chuck. The foreground bird looks great and I'm ok with the OOF bird in the background since very little of it intersects with the subject. The 5 OOF black circles in the background are what catch my eye but since no one else has mentioned them I guess I'm just being a silly goose..
