Can't argue with this one, Richard. Just enough detail to pin down the location, and a great spiral of steam. I wonder what this would look like in B/W?

Gorgeous light here - nice detail and perspective.
The dark skies really set off the geyser.

The sweet light and the clouds really make this image. I also like the comp and color a lot. Very fine image. I was just there a week or so ago, but I didn't get this kind of dramatic skies to shoot with.

Love the way the clouds and steam compliment each other Richard. Great light and drama you've captured here!

That's some pretty special light on the steam. LRC is maybe a bit distracting. Could maybe be burnt down some or cooled off.

Richard,
I'm beginning to get the impression that you had one killer trip, blessed with great light and atmosphere. This is simply fantastic and one great display of nature. The little portal to the blue sky and little bit of white cloud really add some depth to this wonderful moment. Awesome photograph.

Very strong image. I love the fact that it has a strong abstract feel to it. The colors are gorgeous too.

Incredible lighting! Looks to tilt to the left slightly, but maybe that is the background slope, as the guyser itself looks level. Optical illusion? Like the chosen shutter speed.
