Perigrine Portrait

I selected this Perigrine Falcon image from one I shot last week. I thought I would crop it and make a portrait shot. I think I captured some descent feather detail considering the crop is about 1/4 of the original 24MB image. Very good detail remains in an 8x12 print, but I don't think I would go much larger.

Larger image available, "Thanks for stopping!"

A nice comp on this portrait and this has more than enough detail for me. Those breast feathers look so soft...in a good way! Well done. Sharon

The crop makes a nice portrait. The crop is beginning to show in loss of fine detail, but it holds up well.

It held up beautifully, Craig. Superb image and this bird is in perfect condition.

Very impressive portrait Craig, and looks like you lost very little detail, very nice indeed!

A really strong comp Craig. To me the IQ has held up well. I would love to get a shot of a perigrine with decent detail like this.
