Timing was great Sandy. Went to a bird festival yesterday where they had a falconer displaying his bird's skills. Got several good images (by my standards, not yours). I have forgotten what type of owl this is, but most of the birds were not from North America.(Eurasian Eagle Owl) Taken with Canon 7D, using 100-400 IS lens, ISO 400.

In compliance with disclosure, the background playground and cars on the far shore have been cloned with the surrounding foliage and the owl was a trained owl.

This bird seems to be standing on its wing tips. I am not sure how you did some of the things you did here. Kudos for getting a sharp flight shot. This strongly resembles a Short-eared Owl, but I realize that there are close foreign relatives. Certainly interesting and worth a look. I like those fiery eyes.

Good job freezing the action. I like the wing position and the vivid eyes.

What a great capture Patricia. The eyes are absolutely mesmerizing and very cool wing position.

I too like the wing position. It does look like it could be sharpened a tad.
