Nikon D700, Nikkor 17-35mm @ 17mm
60 s @ f/16, ISO 100

A relatively calm morning at Bluestone Bay on Tasmania's east coast, taken just before sunrise.
The round, speckled boulders are a unique feature of this bay, and my aim was to showcase them glowing in the morning light, and slightly mystical effect of the long exposure.
All critique welcome.

And you definitely succeeded, Hillary! It's hard to tell the scale of the boulders and that's quite intriguing. It makes me analyze the scene even more. A great image!

The long exposure works well here to emphasize the texture of the rocks. Beautiful light.

Welcome to NPN, Hillary! You present the boulders at their best in my opinion, embedded in a consistent composition.

I love the wet glow of the rocks in the foreground and how well their colors blend with the sky. I'd say you succeeded completely. Welcome to NPN.

Fantastic foreground and the light in the rest of the scene is perfect. I have a feeling these rocks might look larger than they really are and I like the illusion.

Fantastic first post. The details and colors in the rocks are quite amazing, and I love that misty water amongst the stones. Beautifully done and welcome to NPN.

Nice subtle beauty Hilary, calm and soothing too. I can hear the sounds of those cobblestones draining as the surf recedes, makes me miss the beach.

perfectly done image. You really captured the lighting and color in these rocks with the morning light. Everything else works well with it also. Would make an incredible Chromira or Ilfochrome enlargement for a gallery. Great work
