It was taken at Canyonland National Park. The sunset helped me to isolate the walls of rock from the background. I decided to take out my telephoto.

The time was perfect for you. I might cropping a little off the bottom to take it out of the central portion of the frame - the light ring of rock in the LL corner take my eye away from the glow a little. A fine image!

Wow that is some sweet light! I agree with Harry about a slight crop off the bottom.

Fantastic light. The composition is a bit centered.

This is really nice John. The contrast in the light is stark. I might have tried to bring up a little more detail in the shadows during processing.

A nice example of using telephoto lens for landscape photography.

I think there is enough off centering here for it work just fine and the simple composition and light works for me.

Really like how you have isolated this formation against the areas in shadow. Nicely done.
