Bill - This is just wonderful. The light is just perfect and the pines seem to be reaching to and almost touching the clouds.

Absolutely love the light and color in this, Bill! And your comp allows my eye to move up and down freely through the image. Super shot! :toast:

Very nice Bill, you have put together some great elements very successfully. The tree silhouettes, the FG palms, and that very dramatic sky. It’s amazing that you got the sky and the FG exposure so well given there was no split ND filter. Very nice image indeed.

I'm going to nipick, cuz otherwise this is perfect. There's a broken tree that pokes up directly in the middle of the image, directly into your light source; for me it distracts my eye fast. Lastly, your blend is perfectly balanced. Maybe darken the foreground a notch; a matter of personal prefrence.

Wonderful light ! The threes are rising up toward the cloudscapes with their crowns, i like the composition these lines create. Just wish this tree in the center was also crowned.

Bill, the sky lets me feel a kind of weightlessness, while the foreground elements anchore the composition aptly for me and lead me into the distance. Great work in my opinion, also regarding your processing.

Hey Bill,

Superb comp. I find it hard to make beach shots work well and you seem to nail them every time. LIght is very evocative too.
Well done

It is not so easy to pull off such shots well. The result can often look generic. Well, everything can look generic when not done with class. But not the case here. Done with your trademark elegance!

Bill this is a classic Florida scene. Having made 20+ trips to Florida as a kid, this image really brings me back to my love and memories of this wonderful place. The elements work together fabulously and the graduated color changes creates amazing mood. Beautiful! Technically I still think that D2X sensor produces color and texture that is unique. Maybe it's my tired old eyes, but I see a bit more than blue in the sky. I do love all of the little clouds and the colors in the sky. The trees and palmettos complement the sky nicely. Were this mine, I'd make a duplicate and crop about half of the palmettos and then stare at both for a long time to see if I liked one better.

Excellent, Bill. I really like the balance of light and contrast here. At least on the laptop, it looks like you held all the light and textures in perfect check. Gorgeous scene.

This one is nice from top to bottom. Great comp and I love the colors.
I might clone out the dead wood in the middle of the comp.
