Call me crazy, but I just love wind swept beaches and dramatic skies. Another from Traigh Rosamol, Isle of Harris, Scotland on a Transient Light workshop a little after sunrise...... I just call it heaven.

Loads of drama here, Eva. Very natural color, a comp that emphasizes the clouds and sky, and an absolutely chilly feeling from it. :toast:

Sea and sky are definitley your forte Eva, always done with great skill and emotion. Missing the music festival might have been a tough choice, this scene looks like reasonable compensation. Great scene, great moment, captured well.

Certainly has the feel of cold wind and approaching rain. Great clouds and the captured movement of the beach grass is wonderful. This is very nice.

Looks like you're about to get a good soaking here Eva, very ominous sky indeed (which looks great by the way). You've captured a very nice chunk of windswept beach with a great views to the distance.

Gary.

Okay, you're crazy, but if loving wind swept beaches and dramatic skies makes you crazy, I bet most of us here are crazy too. Beautiful photo.

Incredible view here, Eva as the storm clouds roll over the scene. Quite a remarkable shot.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

Hi Ian - Thanks. If pressed to pick just one, It would be Traigh Mhor for the dynamic light and conditions. HOWEVER, I enjoyed the variety of conditions and moods each of the beaches we visited had to offer. Traigh Rosamol had some beautifully subtle color and dramatic clouds at "sunrise". Luskentyre Bay at sunset stands out in my mind as well because of the eerie sunset light and appearance of the "Eye of Mordor". Others include the Traigh Dhail Beag (The Coffee Beach") on Lewis for the wonderful colors and patterns in the stream on the beach, The expansive Traigh Scarista with it's yellow sand and blue reflections at low tide late in the afternoon, Seilebost beach also expansive with a sun lit appearance even though the sun was no where in sight........ then there were the high dunes on most of the beaches we visited. I guess I can go on forever........ It did indeed remind me of Cape Breton, NS, Canada but to the power of 10! Incredible place Scotland is!

I might say this was an atypical beach type shot! But I like it just the same. Nice dramatic weather is always nice to capture anywhere it may be.
