Red Tail Hawk

This juvenile hawk was perched for several minutes on this tree. Unfortunately, he spun around with his face away from the sun before showing me his wings. I've lightened the face just a bit to pull out the detail. Please view larger version for more detail.

Nice pose and beautiful blue sky behind. There is a small halo around the face. Nicely done.

Nice pose here!
The blues seem very over-saturated.
Tough light, with both bright and dark areas, but this can be improved : I'd suggest selectively brightening up the darker areas of the hawk.

Red tails are so skittish, you did well to capture this action. Great wing position. However, I find that the face is still a bit too dark.

Excellent detail, Wick, and I love the pose. Too bad the light wasn't with you a bit more.
