Dewy Coneflower

Taking a break from Dahlia Abstracts - I have some more that I will post later. This is a Coneflower packed with Dew. This variety has survived right into the Autumn and I would expect it to be there during this weekend too. Some hardy variety I guess. I wish the petals were longer but this variety has its center much bigger compared to the petals and normal pinkish coneflowers that we see.

I stacked (yes, I did about 12 or 15 shots) - no other option to get it right otherwise. ND300s, AFD200mm F/4 Micronikkor at F/16, 1/25 Seconds, Diffuser, ISO200 and of course Tripod. I usually don't crop but this one is about 90% of original as Photoshop CS5 does not seem to do a good job specially at the periphery.

Thanks a lot for your comments on Dahlia Abstract 4 and let me know if this one works for you.

Excellent comp, nice colors, great details. The dew is a real attention getter. Beautiful overall.

Wow, Ram...Impressive detail and light. The presence of dew makes the flower really shining  Great stack :toast:
I have some Dahalias with dew and I'll post them sooner or later :wavey:

The detail here is amazing. Like the comp too. I agree that longer petals would give it a little more balanced look, but there is nothing you can do about that.

Ram: Eye popping color and details and a fine stack. Really good stuff, especially from an abstract kind of guy  Most excellent.>=))>
