Took this yesterday doing a family photo shoot of a friend of mine. His grandmother owns hundreds of acres way back in the hills of West Virginia. Driving back there you felt like you were part of the movie (Wrong Turn). Great people though!

The building (one of several)is left from the old days when they ran lines from maple trees from off the mountain side. They processed the sap until they got maple sugar.

They let me take what ever additional photos of what I wanted and to use as I wish. Great area!

Canon 7D, ef70-200 L IS II @ 70mm, F8, AP, iso100, 1/80sec, hand held. Cropped out about 30% of image.
The only problem I had was getting enough resoulution to post on here. This is the first time I had to cut it down to 48% for the 720 and 68% for the 1200...O'well.

C&C welcome

Dave

The colors are nice and the scene I like. I think I might crop off some from the bottom and it seems a bit bright to me. That could be my monitor though.

Beautiful fall color. I like the inclusion of the sugar shack. Gives the image a story to tell.

Really nice collection of greens and colors in the trees. I also like how the building establishes perspective. The foreground is a a bit "weedy" so I would suggest cropping at the bottom of the fence.

Beautiful colors, and beautiful land! Looks like a grand place to tramp through the fields and woods.

Wow! What a place! The little sugar shack is a perfect point of interest in such a beautiful scene. All that color is gorgeous.
