Water Lily

The angle I wanted for this shot required the camera to be well over the water so I used my Nikon P6000 P&S, handheld. This also allowed me to get the DOF I wanted. Thirty percent crop and straighten with a bit of burning here and there. I also used 'Render>Lighting Effects' to highlight the center of the image. F5.9 at 1/70 sec ISO 100, 112mm equivalent FL, RAW. Thanks for your comments.

Steve: A really beautiful flower and a superb capture and presentation. The color in the pads is very complementary as well. Nicely crafted image. >=))>

This is gorgeous Steve. Love the color palette and your processing. I don't know what render is but I think it worked really well for you here.

My only reservation about the image is the water on the viewer's left side. It would take a little cloning and I might be inclined to clone it out. To me it draws attention from the flower and nothing should do that with this flower. (smile)

Excellent glow from the flower and the vignette works well. Well done.

Steve:
The flower is just so gorgeous and your capture has really done justice to it. Don't know what render is but you have done a good job in the flower center.
