I haven't posted anything here in god knows how long. Not sure why, busy I guess... Lots of new faces and always some amazing work graces this site, well done folks!

This is from this past weekend in Acadia National Park. I made a quick trip over from VT hoping to find some fall color and and dramatic seascapes. Heavy rain and high winds killed most of the foliage on Friday before I got a chance to shoot and Sat. was clear as a bell for sunrise and sunset. Sunday morning however did not disappoint. Thanks for taking a peek.

Ooops, out of practice forgot the techs, 5DII, 16-35L, polarizer f16 @ 25 sec

All those rounded shapes and the strong colour combine to make a most pleasing surreal seascape.

The deep shadowy colors give this image a great ambience. the warm light on the horizon adds appeal.

Very dramatic. I like the textures in both the rocks and the clouds. Colors really hold my attention too.

Hi Kurt,

It's always good to see you post. I like the colors, especially in the water and the shadow detail here. An excellent presentation.

Good to see you posting Kurt. This is a great entry with a nice effect on the water. The darkness enhances the mystery and the emotional impact. Would love to go to Acadia someday. Nicely done! Hope to see more.

Awesome job Kurt. You got a better shot in 2 days than I did all week. Sorry we couldn't hook up. There was absolutely no color at all till Thursday, the day we left for home. With the rain it looked like it was really going to start poppin'.

Lookin' sweet, Kurt! The comp is spot-on. This is one of the best shots I've seen from the coast in Acadia. Otter Cliffs? Who needs 'em?! :toast:
