My first foray into the Flora section. I liked the whorling pattern of the inner petals and the delicate colors.

Allen: Welcome to the finest Flora gallery on the planet and thanks for a fine foray indeed. Solid frame filling comp and superb details. I like the dusting of pollen particles. My only suggestion would be to crop a bit from the bottom to eliminate the OOF petal in the LLC. Great to have you aboard and looking forward to more. >=))>

Very nice composition. Only the unsharp bottom left corner is a bit disturbing. Well done Allen.

Welcome to the forum. I like the image. Very well seen. The curled petals give the image a lot of interest and personality. As already mentioned, the image may have been even stronger, IMO, if you could have moved or otherwise avoided the OOF petals in the LLC.

I agree, Allen, the pattern and colors are very attractive here. Figuring out how to deal with the OOF petals is a bit of a challenge. Probably a bit off the bottom as Bill suggests is your best bet. However, that still leaves us with the less OOF large petal. Instead of cropping you could look into some specific exposure adjustment for the OOF portions or even additional blurring including the other corners. ColorEfex 4 has some neat vignette filters.

I agree with the crop suggestion, but other than that I really like the lines, color and detail. Well done.

Lovely, ....unique swirls give this a beautiful add'n and whimsical quality. The rt side lines point direct to focus our attention...then the left is a bit chaotic. I might think of snips to remove some items...or tweezers...always an afterthought. Nicely done! Ken S
