Had this shot in mind and convinced my wife we should be here for sunrise. Something seems a bit "off" to me, maybe the sky?
4 image blend for DOF and dynamic range.
Thought and comments are welcome, thanks for the feedback on my last post.
Cheers, Dean

Hi Dean, technically I think you have handled the situation quite well. The dynamic range looks natural, not "HDR-ish". I also like the balance in the composition, but I have some thoughts regarding some individual elements. The bush in the centre seems to "block" the path my eye wants to travel through from near to far. Then there is the left side - these leaves are rather bright against the dark rock. They attract my attention and pull me out of the scene a bit. You can tone them down a bit if you want to make them less prominent. I hope it makes sense, just my 2 cents...

I like the scene. Difficult lighting situation with a lot of contrast. It all looks comfortable to me except for the cloud. It looks like it has an odd yellow/orange tint to it. Other than that small issue, a nice image.

I like the comp, the non-sky areas in general seem a bit dark.

Hi Dean! Is this heading up towards the backside of Cheam by any chance? Great work on the blend. I like the foreground and the distant peaks but the centre of the image doesn't have much interest for me.

Hi Adam, it is the Cheam Mountain range at the south end, with Welch Peak on the right. :toast:
