This is from the same shoot as the image I posted for WC two weeks ago, but here I zoomed in to get a detail of the swirling water while retaining some of the leaves etc. for context.
f/14 at 2.5 seconds, 75mm focal length, tripod (of course!) holding up my Nikon D90

I like the intimacy of this image. Have you considered a black and white conversion for this one?

Nancy, I've just spent some time comparing this shot with the earlier post. Were they taken at the same time? The leaf colors look the same, but the water color is more attractive in the earlier shot. There's a nice swirling action in the water here and it contrasts well with the sharp leaves and tree trunks, but my eyes don't roam around in this picture like they did in the earlier one, where the rocks and leaves in river lower in the frame kept them moving. In this picture, most of the interest is in the left half with the cluster of tree trunks. I think you'd be telling the same story with a stronger picture if you cropped from the right to just beyond the left edge of that first rock.
