Above Cascade Locks in the Columbia Gorge, just down from Dry Creek Falls. Lots of fall color, but not much water yet. One guarantee: it will rain.
Canon 5DMk2, EF24-105mm F/4L at 24mm, polarizer. Panorama of 4 images.

Great shot. I like the mood in this photo. Perfect shutter speed for the effect on the water, and the fallen yellow leaves complement the green very nicely; the nearer leaf makes a good anchor and, together with the branch on which it lays, nicely leads the way into the the rest of the scene.

Daniel, this is a beautiful image! I love the greens and yellows in the leaves and background. I also like how the stream leads my eye to the lower left corner and then the foreground log leads me right back into the scene again. Nice work & well seen!

Oh, wow! The thumbnail doesn't even do this justice and the larger image is even more breathtaking. the golds and greens are great together and the mossy banks and logs well balanced by the rugged angles of the rocks. Very nice image

Wonderful shot, Daniel. I love all the deep greens and the leaves on the ground. Nice job on the water too.

The larger version is just incredible here Daniel! I just returned from The Gorge and was looking for this creek, but alas, never stumbled upon it. Perfectly natural looking shot of such a wonderfully dense and lush landscape.

LOL, it will rain for sure.

This is a beauty Daniel. The fallen leaves and distant backdrop of yellow make a great comp of the stream special. Nicely done.

This is a nice place to photograph yet this creek is not always easy to get at the right point to avoid either too much water flow or too little. You did quite well and I like this. Nice leading lines taking me right into the image.

I like your composition here, with the line of the flow and rocks, but it is the soft light and incredible detail which really hold me here...I like the way I'm drawn to the lighter background and intricate foliage there....being a 4-image stitch, it should enlarge so well...

This shows an excellent eye to details, from vision to comp to processing. It all shows the effort put in to make a beautiful piece of art. The stitch should make for great detail in even a huge print. Was your panorama of horizontal or vertical shots? :toast:

Morris: this is a stitch of 4 vertical shots, but then cropped back a bit from the bottom. I was anxious to include both the foreground log and especially enough of the background trees to account for ~1/3 of the final image.

This is gorgeous. There are so many different elements leading back into the frame. The leaves are especially nice.

A magical forest scene, Daniel. Love the warmth of the greens and crisp, white water. The yellow of the leaves is nicely echoed in some of the bg trees.
