Angela, the look it is giving certainly makes this photo stand out. Unfortunately, IMHO, the dark shadow behind its head distracts. Not sure what you could have done differently. Maybe a lower angle, or if you could have moved to your right. Still a neat image. TFS.

Wonderful capture, Angela; the bird seems to be full of mischief. I like your depth of field, not always easy on a bird as big as a Greater Roadrunner. The darker background behind the comb doesn't bother me.

Angela, really like the endearing cock of the head and great eye contact. Sharpness and exposure look very good. I do think the shadow in the upper background minimizes the positive effects of the crest.
