Ahhh, for the life of me I couldn't get a single Elephant in Kruger to give me the two-ear flap never mind the added bonus of a raised trunk. C'mon Ken, what's the secret?!?! ;^)

The surroundings are a little bit busy, but I doubt there was a way you could have blurred the background more. Unless those dry-looking strands poking out from the underside of the trunk actually have their other ends in the Elephant's mouth (?!?), then I think I'd likely clone those parts out, but that's just me ;^)

Ashley,

Some mighty fine points raised there, I often ignore the BG and the downside it can bring.

I have done a little work on it what do you think?

It was actually hoovering up leaves

Good detail on the ellie here Ken and I like the clear eye as well as the raised trunk picking up human scents. The light and colors are pleasing, although ideally the beautiful light hitting the BG bush would have lit the elephant as well. Your repost is certainly an improved cleaner version.

Ken, I like the raised position of the trunk here. It adds a bit of a dynamic pose to the elephant. Nice image!

Thanks everybody for your comments we waited forever for the Elephant to get out of the shade but he was very happy where he was.
