Taken in the Masai Mara , Kenia in October 2011. Close shot and focusing on his face. Looks to me as if the lion wanted to transmit something ...
Nikon D3X Nikkor 200-400 f6.3 1/200 ISO 200 . Some work in Aperture ( Apple)
All comments well appreciated

Luc, I like the close-up view of the lion's face and the slight head turn. I do find myself wanting to see more on the right side of the frame. Is this a crop?

Hi Luc, I love that look! Also it's wild hairdo fits that look perfectly. Since the BG and lighting are both not very favorable I wonder if this would work well in B&W.

I would like to take the opportunity to invite you to contribute more to these forums by also commenting and providing constructive feedback on other people's work. ultimately the success of all the galleries are determined largely by the comments members leave on the images that are posted. If you're unsure or uneasy about commenting/"critiquing" there are several good resources on this website discussing it. Start right here:

and you'll find links to the the image posting guidelines and two articles on critiquing ("The Art of Image Critique" and "More Thoughts on Photo Critique.").
