Turquoise

Yesterday afternoon in Höllental, a valley in Lower Austria. I was impressed by the turquoise and green shades of the creek together with the autumn colors of the foliage.

This is my first post in this gallery, your thoughts are appreciated.

The leaves in this scene make a nice frame for the turquoise creek. The contradictory colours work well too...

There is so much that is pleasant in this image and composition and colors are great. I must say that the dark item in the water with not enough detail to know what it is, bothers me and I think is a negative in an otherwise excellent photo.

I can well understand why your are impressed by those colors in the creek. This is a beautifully composed scene. i'm only a bit irritaed by the "out of focus" or blurred leavesin the middle of the image.

This reminds me of Andreas' recent post regarding color thene. The colors are what makes this work for me. I think that little guy in the lower right corner is a bit distracting and messes a bit with the rest of the composition, but it is not such a big deal.

Some wonderful colors here, Silvia. Easy to see why this had an impression on you! A nice feeling with this image too. I do agree with Dietrich about the small tree in the lrc being a bit distracting, but still enjoy your shot.

While it feels a bit busy, the contrasting and intense colors really work well here.
