Point Imperial Sunrise

Nikon D7000 Nikon 24-70 f2.8
f22 5 seconds ISO 100

This image was made at Point Imperial on the Grand Canyon's North Rim last July. I am fascinated by the pinnacle of Mount Hayden. It reminds me of a temple presiding over the rest of the canyon. You may read more about this image on my blog at: http://blog.greglessardphotography.com/2011/11/point-imperial-sunrise.html

All constructive criticisms are welcome.

A classic view, composed nicely. Good color. I'd suggest perhaps a slight shadows adjustment for the foreground. Why is the small image so small?

Thanks Jim. Sorry, I didn't realize that the small image was smaller than normal. This view looks better the bigger it is, that's why I posted the larger file too.

This is a classic view, but a good image is a good image. The light and composition are fine. A good overall image.

Greg, the sunrise view from Imperial is spectacular, as you have captured. I like the magentas in the distant ridges with just the right amount of detail in them showing. A consideration would be to brighten Mt Hayden and its foreground slopes to draw more focus to it. Maybe dim the brightest yellow in the ULC.
