Floatin' down the river
by Carolyn Derstine
I like to watch the leaves come twirling down from the trees and land gently on our creek to float to who knows where. I was trying out my new 180mm macro lens towards evening. So far I love the lens; it gives me more "reach".
The bright spots on the lower left side are actually fish or frog eggs stuck to rocks on the creek bed. I considered cloning them out but decided to leave them in for I felt it added to the "story" of this picture.
Canon Rebel T1i. 180mm macro lens. F/11 for 1/250 sec. ISO 400.
