This was taken a few days ago in one of my favorite areas within Zion Canyon, in the morning shadow of the Great White Throne.

Nice color and good perspective, Jim. Looks good.

Looks like you timed it well. I was there a week ago, too late for the upper section, too early for the canyon. You did well.

Such a classic scene of Zion for me Jim, love it. I'm always amazed at all the elements to work with everywhere you look in the Park.

I always anticipate the Zion-isms here on NPN. A park that I sure would enjoy to photograph. I like how you composed this.

Jim, this is a fine balanced composition for me. I especially enjoy the delicate details in the near as well as in the distance. The diverse elements of your image work perfectly together to my eye.

I'm surprised there haven't been more comments for this image. I like the mix of color in this image. The foreground branch / root is a nice compositional element and I like the combination of flowers and fall color.

Sweet! I think id warm it up just a tad (to neutralize the blues in the branch) but otherwise this works for me. I saw tons of those yellow flowers when i was out ther--any idea what they are? :wavey:

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. Stan, well ... I'm certainly not very knowledgeable about flowers. But ... my best guess, based on an exhaustive 15 minute search, is that the yellow flower is the Broom Ragwort. That's my guess, and I'm stickin to it (until somebody proves me wrong  ).
