This one is taken mid september at "Schwarzwassergraben", a gorge in the western part of switzerland. This area is the german/french speaking border of switzerland and is often called "Röstigraben" which means "Hashbrowns Gorge".

Techs: Nikon D700, 16-35 lens (@19mm), ISO 200, 1/2 sec, f13, Polarizer

Thanks for any comments and thoughts

The straight and clear-cut composition is consistent with this interesting scene to me, Bill. Your choice of shutter speed works perfectly for me. I also like the details in the near as well as the foliage in the background. You did a good job keeping my attention within the frame.

I agree with Peter - choice of shutter speed works great. The contrast between water and rock with regards to color and texture makes a good deal of the sucess of this composition. Details and sharpness are excellent.

That's an interesting thing - looks like that stream in Zion NP. The composition defintely works and the leaves in the foregound create some nice depth.

I too made the correlation between this stream and the one in Zion. Very dynamic comp Bill, makes me feel like I'm standing right there! The shutter speed is perfect as well.

Reminds me a lot of a place in North Carolina. I like this very much, especially the shutter speed.

A great little spot, this! I've been here quite a few times and always found something interesting to photograph. Love the dramatic perspective!
