Morning After Nov 10th.
by Nick Bristol
Split Rock Lighthouse sits quietly at sunrise the morning after the annual turning on of the light in honor of the 29 men that were lost when the Edmund Fitzgerald went down on Lake Superior. I stayed around so that I could photograph the lighthouse the next morning before heading home. It is a special thing to be there when they turn this light on once a year on Nov 10 (as you can see in Shawn's image a few ahead of this one).
I posted 2 versions of this earlier today but was not happy with the processing for the web so deleted before any comments. Sorry about that...this one will stay.

But seriously, a lovely scene and beautiful sunrise. Thumbs up

reflecting the light from the sunset. The way that you caught the water breaking
on the rocks is a real plus. I have no suggestions for changes.
Mark, I see that bit of halo around the lighthouse too and will see if I can fix that before doing anything else with this. Thanks, Nick
