Just about sunrise

Taken a few years ago, looking east (actually southeast) to the Siskiyou mountains after a nice snowfall and beautiful sunrise colors. Can't find the RAW file, so have no techs.

Olympus probably E-510

Large view

Always appreciate critiques and comments

The light and reflection are lovely. I wish you can step to the right to avoid the tree, but I don't know if it is possible.

Beautiful scene and light. I would concur with John. It is not a deal breaker, but would be nice not to have the tree dominating as much as it does.

This is beautiful, Charlie. What a peaceful scene and the rail fence really adds to the mood. Very, very nice.

I really like the light, color and reflection you caught here, Charlie. There is a wonderful mood and feel that goes with this. It has that Christmas feeling about it. I love the color and fog in the background mountains and the fence seems to add that special feel. A couple of steps to the right might have been nice too, but I have a feeling you might not have been able to do that. No matter, this is pretty special for me! Nice work Charlie.

Thanks all for critique and comments. A step to the right is and was possible and I will post another view when 48 hours have past. By the way personally this is my favorite of the shots that day and I don't mind at all that opinions differ.

I'm sure you all already know what I;ve found and that is the open critique in the form we enjoy here is outstanding.

I really like the colour combination in this Charlie, the sky looks magnificent. A winter wonderland indeed.

Spectacular shot. I think the tree puts me as the viewer right there in the snow and expect that two steps to the right will have a very different feel.

beautiful image, Charlie. I really like the foreground elements and the way the reflecting pool ties the cool elements to the warm upper half.

Absolutely beautiful picture Charlie, love the colours and the suggested contrast between the warmth of the sun and the cold of the snow. Wonderful composition too, this is a wall-hanger if ever I saw one!!! :^)
