In late September the Texas Sage bush will produce these wonderful purple flowers that the bee's really like to check out. One morning I set up my tripod next to one of these bushes to photograph the bee activity. Many of the bee's going from flower to flower had the pollen dust all over them but this bee had a waxy glob hanging from one of it's legs. I assume this is something the bee collected but I am not sure, so maybe somebody can confirm this.

Comments and suggestions welcomed.

This is great Jim, those flight shots are so hard to capture and you really got this one. The details on the bee are just great. :toast:

Excellent clarity, exposure, colors, DOF, light, and sharpness Jim.
Well composed macro, you can clearly see the object of this bee's affection.
Pleasant colorful frame, well done! :toast: :toast:

Jim, nice job catching this bee in flight! The detail on the bee is great and I like the blurred background!

Jim, honey bees have sacs oin the back legs to carry pollen. That's what these things are.
Congrats on the WP!
