I posted this over in PNWNP and it was suggested I post over here too...This shot was taken with a Canon 1Ds and a 90mm Tilt/Shift. The tilt was over to the extreme right resulting in the unusual narrow focus you see here. I've seen this technique employed before with some success. I did some Photoshop work on it as well, selective darkening, contrast, saturation...

It's not for everyone, but I like it...What do you think?

Cheers,

Very cool effect David! That lens is very interesting, do they have a lens like that for Nikon?? I love the yellow you capture here, very beautiful!

Thanks Cindy, I will post more as I get to them...

Beth, thanks for the compliments...Yes, Nikon makes an 85mm macro tilt/shift, although I know nothing about it. Here's a link to <a href="http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=NavBar&A=getItemDetail&Q=&sku=186251&is=USA&si=feat#goto_itemInfo" target="_blank">B&H Photo</a>.

Very interesting image, I like it too.

I have the 90TSE and have been wondering about using the tilt in this way, I'll be having a go on our Autumn Beech trees today. The shot I have in mind is of a line of trunks in focus with the rest of the scene a blur. Thanks for the insiration to give it a go.

Very cool shot. This type of image makes me want to blow my bank account to get a TS lens. I'm all for images testing the boundries of what people are used to. The additional thing I like about this shot is that it taught me something. I thought for sure this was a pure PS manipulation. I'd have never guessed this was from an extreme TS.
