Flowers and Fence

This is from last month in the mountains of North Carolina, with some flowers my sister discarded. I really liked this concept, but the picture was just too symmetrical. I've worked with it a lot to try to come up with something that lessens/softens the symmetry. It may look like "just" a vignette, but it's had lots more done to it than that, including two applications of Topaz Simplify BuzSim and an application of Nik Color Efex Old Photo, all with changes in parameters, all to soften the image.

Comments and suggestions on the results are desired and will be appreciated.

Thank you!

Barbara, this is very painterly where the softness of the image works well with the pastel colors. While this is very nice as posted, I feel that it could use more space up top (possibly an upward shift of the crop...if it's cropped). You might also darken the bright spots where the post and where the cross beam touch the frame gently. While those areas add to the sense of lightness, they attract too much of my attention.

Very cool. This is a winning 'country' life poster or card.

Very nice Barbara. I see that I have a whole lot more to learn.

I really like the muted colors and the processing.

This is beautiful, Barbara. I really like the softness of this along with the colors. I'm impressed with all the processing you do. I don't have any programs besides Photoshop Elements and there is so much I don't know about that program, let alone trying to learn lots of other programs.

Very nice image Barbara. The painted effect works great with this image. I agree with Mark on the post and rail being a bit too light on the frame edges, but that's personal preference.
Well done!
