I'm posting some images I shot about 9 months ago, and this image of the colorful Golden-fronted Woodpecker just called for attention.

Pretty bird and I like that red eye -- background looks good. Perch is a bit overwhelming for my tastes and I would take a tighter crop around the bird just to see what that looks like

Nice pose in this Texas soecialty bird, with a good look at the colours and red eye. I agree that the large perch kind of overwhelms the bird here, but still a very nice image.

This is a really nice image. Perch is ok with me...these guys don't hang out on twigs! I would consider taking a bit off of the top.
Nice colors in that bg and a nice view of the "golden front". Well done. Sharon

Nice view of this woodpecker. I like the lighting and the colors are perfect. The perch is just fine with me. You've done a great job on the bird and there is lots of detail there and I think this would allow you to crop in tighter and take some off the top. The apparent size of the bird will increase and the perch won't seen as large. Good job.
