Lumières d'automne
by Monica Siri
Hello Everybody,
this is my first post in the Landscape Gallery.
This shot was taken last month, during a short fall trip in the Franche Comtè region, that is located in the west of France. I chose to visit this region for its richness of rivers, falls and caves.

27 commentsWelcome to Landscape gallery. Nice opening image! There are a lot of really strong elements at work here and I like how you have processed it, with lots of rich colors and great luminosity throughout. In fact there are so many strong lines, shapes and areas of interest, I find my eye getting pulled in many different directions. The bench rim offers some directional pull from the FG to the BG, although not really obvious it does work as a line of pull. What this scene leaves me wondering is weather there is a composition available that would allow the water to be the leading line of pull?
Beautiful image as is though. Well done, Shane

Shane, I have many shots of this fall, but this is the only from the top. The shooting point was very slippery and narrow, as Charlie said, I was a bit daredevil
A wonderful spot, you sure know how to pick em' my friend.
I'll leave the serious critique to the landscape experts here..I just like what I see
Very well done
Chris
We're so glad you decided to post here in Landscape. I really, really like this! There is something about the light and the brightness that is very appealing to me; normally something bright is usually a negative, but this just has a fresh, airy look and feel to it that I find refreshing. There are a number of elements to explore here and I think they are all balanced very nicely. I can't think of anything I would suggest differently.
Hope you share more!
