Taken in mid-morning of late September on the Salmon River near Chasm Falls, New York. Double processed RAW file, blended, curve adjustment, cloned out small branch on FG rock.

Canon T1i, f22, 1/4 sec, ISO-100, 28mm, tripod

Thanks for looking, comments always welcome.

Pretty cool, Ron! The exposure, colors etc all look good. It's a good perspective; i think this might have been stronger with more water at the bottom or bottom lhs--but i realize that might have required you to risk bodily harm, and we wouldn't want that

Nice little chute you found there, Ron. I find myself wanting to see a little more color in the foliage, but still a very nice image.

I like the color and water blur in the image. I feel a little off balance with so much of the large rock on the right. The shout does draw the eye into the image.

Ron,

I'll echo Stan's comments. I think the color, contrast, saturation and all the technicals are spot on. I like the perspective and the comp in general, but in the end there's this big thing blocking the continued flow of the falls. And I'm thinking just like Stan and realize you obviously didn't have too many options in composing this so you can't be faulted for that. I'm wondering though and I suspect you have other variations - perhaps a wider view that has more of the large rock/boulder on the right? Maybe a different perspective where the rock is either featured more prominently - or less. If that makes sense.

Thanks for the comments...and yes, I have a few other views of the area Lon. But, this was the best of them. I also wish there were more color in the foliage. The large rocks on the right and the tension that created with the down-looking view are what appealed to me. And too, I would have liked better light...but this area is protected from both early and late light.
