This photo is my first post as a new member of NPN. The Image was taken in late June near the Cascade River on Minnesota's North Shore. I used a Sony A55 body with an 18-250mm lense. Image was taken Aperture Priority, F6.3, 210mm, 1/20sec.ISO 400. Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

William:

Welcome to NPN and floral! A very nice first post. The fg bloom is perfectly captured and the drops additional plus. Like the echo in the bg. As an alternative, you may like to consider cropping this 5:4 with portrait orientation.

Nice detail in the front flower! Love the soft focus.

Welcome aboard. Hope you become a regular participant. I like the natural setting. The ladyslippers look great against the oof green BG and the two drops are a nice touch. Very nice first post.

Superbly sharp capture of the main flower, William, and an attractive composition. My only suggestion might be to soften further the blurred flower - its front edge competes slightly I feel with the main subject - but that's very subjective. This is a beautiful image, and I look forward to seeing more from you.

William: Welcome to NPN in general and to the finest Flora gallery on the planet in particular. I've never seen these beauties in the wild so I'm pretty jealous. I really like your DOF management and the sharpness on the drops especially. Great to have another Sony shooter in the group as well. Glad to have you aboard and looking forward to more. :wavey: >=))>
