I found the little tree growing out of the side of the canyon wall interesting

A very interesting photograph. Love the composition, especially how it incorporates the splash of color in the distance.

It is amazing how nature can find a spot no matter how precarious and cling to life. Nicely done, Walt.

I like the cliffhanger comp and the autumn colors look great. Color balance seems a bit yellow on my monitor, but that's a very subjective thing.

Walt,

I like the setup here and the variety of autumn colors. The little tree does add a nice touch and it's amazing where things can grow and surive. My suggestion here is cropping in from the left and bottom. I feel that he cliff side is a little too prominent. Perhaps darkening it some would help as well. It's not a major deal, but something I thought I would mention. I think a crop would also bring more attention to that little tree that caught your attention.
