Bee My Dahlia

What I personally like about this image are the colors of the dahlia reflected in the bee's eye (best seen in the larger image). Comments from others, good and bad, welcome. D700, 180 macro, 1/200, iso 400, f8, tripod. Image is nearly full frame ( about 10% total cropped from ends).

Beautiful colors and perfect DOF. It's really cool the way the colors reflect in the bees eye.

In the larger version, one feels like you are right in the flower with the bee. Great colors, comp, details on bee. I especially like, as you noted, the colors reflected in the bees eyes. Great capture, Scott!

Probably the best use of f/8 I've seen in one of these types of shots, perfect point of focus.
What stands out most for me is the wonderful soft light & vibrant colors :toast: :toast:
