Nice sharp image. The whites are handled very well and the dof works well. It is a bit tight for me. I would really like more room on the right for the goat to walk into and some more on the top to show a little more environment.

Exposure, DOF, processing, color and sharpness are all excellent Spencer. The flowers are also a nice addition. On the down side I find the subject a bit too tightly framed, particularly on the right side of the frame; there is no room for it to 'move into' so to speak. What is also a pity is the fact that the head is slightly angled away from the camera and on top of that it is shaded whereas the rest of the body is nicely lit. Generally the face and eye(s) are the most important parts that viewers wish to see in a wildlife image.

I would like to take the opportunity to invite you to contribute more to these forums by also commenting and providing constructive feedback on other people's work. ultimately the success of all the galleries are determined largely by the comments members leave on the images that are posted. On top of that you will be surprised how much you can learn from analyzing and critiquing other people's images. If you're unsure or uneasy about commenting/"critiquing" there are several good resources on this website discussing it. Start right here:

http://www.naturephotographers.net/naturephotos/wildlifephotography.html

and you'll find links to the the image posting guidelines and two articles on critiquing ("The Art of Image Critique" and "More Thoughts on Photo Critique.").
