Great capture! The exposure, shadows, highlights and comp. looks great. Was this a blend of a few photos, or did the atmosphere allow one image to do the trick? BTW, is there a chance you could lighten up the top of the tree a bit? TFS!

Wow, looks great. Very strong composition, excellent light. Technically, this looks also perfect. The detail in the grass is quite amazing.

Nathan - It is blend of two images. The foreground is a 6 second exposure with a Vari-ND filter. The upper portion of the tree is dark and accurate, but I could see how it looks odd and lightening it is a great suggestion.

I like the composition very much here Justin...the swirls, the lone tree and the distant mountains all add, together with nice light...
Central placement of the tree doesn't bother me here.

Real nice, Justin. Excellent comp and great combo of the sky and swirling water. Very well done.

Great shot, I love the swirls in the water! The line of the river leads the eye in well, also...beautiful!

The swirls add motion, spurring the eye into the image through the grasses. As has been mentioned, great comp.

This is very nice! The swirls in the foreground water along with everything else is just beautiful. I'm for lightening the upper part of the tree too.

Nice comp with the swirls as the foreground element. I know it's a shadow, but the dark area of sky feels a bit too dark.

Nice shot Justin. My only nit, and this is very minor, is the blown highlights in the clouds to the left of the tree.

Great comp Justin, I can understand what Zack is saying, my eyes goes on swirling water and travels on the edge of the water on the grass to the tree and moves out of frame by the bright ray of claud. However it is not far from a GREAT IMAGE.

Incredible processing Justin. I especially like how you rendered the highlights on the water and the color of the grasses. I hope you are doing well.

Justin,
A beautiful morning indeed. Of course any morning along the Owens river on the East side of the river is probably a pretty good morning. Great sky and little scene along the river. The swirls and frosted grass are real nice. The only critique/comment I have is that I'm torn between the sky and the river and which part is more important. My eye kinda bounces back and forth. Just my own take on composition, but I'd crop some off the top if anything just to help reduce the bounce - if that makes sense.

Beautiful handling of the blend Justin. I agree with Lon's suggestion to crop the top some. I brings more focus to the tree and river.
