Another really interesting image, Todd. The waterdrops throughout the seeds are great. I think I'd prefer the OOF seed heads to be sharper, but I still like the image.

Nice job with a very tough subject. The water drops add a lot, but like Scott, I find the oof seed heads somewhat distracting. Having tried a number of shots like this, I know how hard it is to get both the heads and tails in focus.

Todd:

Taking a break from leaves

Very interesting image. The drops on the filaments looks great. Would like to see more DOF on the seeds but this one is good as it is.

The composition is excellent, Todd. Whilst I perhaps would echo others' comments on the seedheads I don't find the lack of sharpness there a real problem. The dark base to the image beautifully complements the bright splay of web and droplets above - it's a very engaging image in every respect.

this is sweet. Unlike the others, I rather like the slight softness of the seed hairs in contrast to the sharp and richly colored seeds. The water drops add their own kind of magic here.

Hi Todd :wavey: The converging lines of the milkweed and the droplets make for a fine composition!! the seeds add to the beauty of the scene :jump:

Todd: Easily your best of this year IMO. One of my very favorite subjects superbly captured and presented. :toast: >=))>
