Dove

Common Ground-Dove at Crew's Lake near Spring Hill Florida
1/1250 at f5.6 and ISO250 EC -2/3
Canon 500mm with 1.4 TC
Canon 7D

Tighter crop than I would like but the dove is surrounded by a plethora of offending branches. Despite all those branches I was able to get some clean air as background for the dove.

I like the pose and the ruffled feathers, the light is good and the colors of the bird and environment are really complimentary. No complaints!

A nice close up showing some interesting feather display, wonderful detail on the larger image, way to go.

A very hard species to get images of. I have tried for years and not gotten a good shot. I like the comp and the pose. Sharpness is good. Very nice.

Beautiful light and pose, Scott. I really like the textures in the plumage on this one, and you got a sweet head turn. Well done.

This is beautiful, Scott. Wonderful position with the head and feathers like that. Very intimate, very sharp and clear, beautiful colors and light.
