Early morning deep in The Narrows at Zion. Reflected light gives the walls a glowing appearance. So peaceful and beautiful!

Canon 5D Mark II, 35-350mm @ 35mm, f/22, ISO100, 6 sec, tripod, polarizer, frozen feet. Single image processed twice to tame the highlights.

C&C most welcome!

The Narrows...one of my favorite locations in Zion. Beautifully captured! :toast:

That's real nice, Philip. Everything works perfectly in my opinion. A very pleasing, classic narrows shot.

Nice one, Philip! Great place to be if you can get in there without the masses.

Terrific image! The lighting is great and I like the aquamarine water curving back into the canyon. I do wish your copyright notice wasn't so large, so I could enjoy that water even more.

I'm really enjoying this shot! This is the first time I have seen the color of the water shown so deep and rich in color. I like everything about this!

Phillip,

Excellent rendition from the Narrows and stacks up nicely against many of the images recently posted. This one does very well showcasing the immense, towering wall and captures that glow on the canyon walls beautifully. The composition works nicely despite the limited presence of the river -- the walls are the story and you've done well presenting them. Nice job with the exposure and processing. Just the right amount of shadow and shadow detail.

A beautiful spot. The water coloration I great and a wonderful contrast to the canyon light.
