Waterton Mulie
by Jenaya Launstein
My dad and I recently went to Waterton to see if we could get some images of Mule Deer bucks in the rut. We quickly spotted a couple nice bucks in town. We went out, got set up in different positions, and waited for something interesting to happen. The bigger buck struck a few poses and then walked away. The smaller buck, however, stuck around longer and I managed to get some nice portrait shots of him in this awesome open light. This is the best image I took of the smaller buck, so I thought I should share it with you guys! I just LOVE the way the background looks in this image...especially the way the colours compliment the buck's colours.
Thanks for viewing!

6 commentsGreat pose, details, sharpness and soft light in this one. I probably don't have to tell you this, but that new piece of glass has made a world of difference to the overall IQ of your photos posted. Now I know it's not just the equipment, I always say the "monkey behind the viewfinder" ultimately makes the image...the tools just make it easier to do it properly.
Nice portrait....Good detail & shrpness. The backgound certinly is pleasing. Seems to have all his points but one is oddly bent and hiding somwehat. Love the snow effect on the nose.
Thanks for sharing
