Snowdrops and Raindrops

Another favorite from earlier this year. Three images stacked in HF. Based on a couple previous comments, I cloned out the flowers in the ULC, but, after doing so, I decided to leave it as is. Nikon d700, 180 macro, Fellows Riverside Gardens, youngstown. Larger image included for better detail on the drops.

Hi to everyone here! After a bit of a hiatus I was sharing some time with other local photographers and decided it was high time I get back into the NPN swing again! I've enjoyed my visits here and I am glad to be able to comment again on the wonderful work I have been seeing!

This is a fantastic image, Scott. Very cool and crisp!

Love this shot Scott. The water drops really make it. I am mixed on the flowers in the ULC. I don't think they detract too much, but think the image would also be nice w/o them.

Ned, great to hear from you again. Hope to see you posting in flora again soon, particularly your tulips.

A beautiful photo of beautiful little flowers, Scott. The tips of the petals in the LUC recall the leitmotiv of the photo and I like them.
Take care.

Very fine image, Scott. I like these little flowers but have not been very successful in getting a decent picture of them. I really like this shot, especially with the addition of the raindrops. Nice comp and wonderful details in those raindrops. I can see pros and cons of the flowers in the ULC but it is, of course, ultimately up to you in what you think looks best. And I do think this is very wonderful as is!

What a beauty Scott!! The details really come through with this one because it's tack sharp in the right spot.
I think the flower in the ULC dont hurt this because I think that space might feel somewhat empty without them.

Beaufiful shot Scott--love the sharp outline against the very soft background.

Scott: I'm probably one who commented on the ULC and I still think I would like the shot wihout the partials there. I also wish the upper stem curve wasn't cut off. The refractions in the larger drops are fantastic. >=))>

I remember this one and how beautiful and delicate it was and is. I especially love all the water droplets with the reflections and the way the whites look being so wet.

Thanks, David. If I can brag just a little, this image is in my show/exhibit currently running at the gardens where this was taken, and it sold in the first couple days of the show, so someone will have it on their wall shortly.

Wonderful shot, Scott. I like the colours and the drops a lot. The upper stem cut doesn't work very well in my opinion.
