Olympus E5, 150mm, 2xTC, f4, 1/400, ISO100 handheld out vehicle window

This was the second of my favorite two shots from the summer, and I won't bore you with any more. Same sort of stretch as the last one, but from the side. Really cool to see more than one of these guys do this. Appreciate the comments on the last one. I did enter these two in the NWF National contest, but didn't win....still have a chance at honorary mention to be announced I think in January.

What a great pose - the stretch and profile view is just exceptional! Nice eye, sharp detail, and very complimentary BG.

Another fine image. I like this perspective as well as the last one with the head on perspective. Not wild about the copyright across the middle of the image.

Another great image. Behavior I've never seen from this species; first rate technicals.

Dave, I love the image and agree with the other comments. I agree with Keith about the copyright across the middle.

Way to cool, I really like these stretching shots and this one really shows some nice feather patterns, what a wonderful time you had with these owls and you got some great images, excellent shot.

Another great image from this series, but I like the angle on the other one more. Excellent detail and sharpness, especially given the speed you have here. Good luck.

Really neat pose and I like this angle on it. I've spent a lot of time with this species and never seen this particular stretch pose.

Another awesome Short Eared Owl image, Dave! Those juvenile guys sure have some cool colours on them! Great detail in the feathers, too.

Don't worry about boring me with these guys, I could never get tired of looking at images of my favourite kind of owl  !
