This female pintail was nice enough to land right in front of me. I like the bird's position and good feather detail in this shot.

Please view the larger version for max. details. Thanks so much.

great light and gorgeous details, Ron. love the wing, neck, and foot position too. if you have a little more room to add at lower left, I'd be interested to see that, but the comp also works as is.

Terrific detail - it is hard to get that sort of sharpness/detail on a stationary bird making this even more impressive. Another masterly BIF image.

So sharp and perfect form. The water droplets add to the image, it must not have flown very far before landing again.

Excellent flight shot that really shows the feather detail and patterns, I like that you can also see the head of the Pintail in the light and a thin line of water droplets on the body as the light seems to be coming from behind the bird. Wonderful timing and well done.

Great job on this one. Your handling of the light is well done, but the chest is lighter than I would have expected. I like the differing wing positions and detail visible on the left wing. I would like just a bit more room on the left if possible.

Super flight shot. Sharpness is exceptional and the light is very pleasing. Wonderful background. I especially like the asymmetrical wing positions. Very well done.
